The CARE Center offers educational classes on a variety of topics for the dog or cat enthusiast. The CARE Center is proud to partner with local community groups and companion animal professionals to produce high-quality, yet reasonably-priced, classes.

Pet U: Learning to Care for Pets
A series of classes offered by the CARE Center and the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. See vetmed.illinois.edu/ope/petu/ for details. The 2011-2012 series has started and continues through June.

Dog Training
Great starter class for young dogs, recently adopted dogs, or fist-time owners.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep
An intermediate class to practice for and take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Skills learned are helpful in advanced classes such as agility and in preparing dogs to help in animal assisted activities or therapy.
